For this episode of the AVID Learning podcast Ryan Maughan speaks to Dan Murphy who is a Principal Engineer at semiconductor powerhouse, ST Microelectronics.

Dan agreed to come on the podcast to talk about ST’s SiC switching devices. Dan and Ryan take a wider look at the semiconductor industry and talk about subjects ranging from MEMS accelerometers for gaming devices to the design principles of Silicon Carbide high power traction inverters, DCDC converters and much more.

Dan shares some fantastic insights to ST’s switching technology and production roadmap and industry trends in electromobility for power electronics device design using wide band gap devices such as Silicon Carbide Mosfets.
